Our Story
Built by a Player,
For the Game

My name is Judah Thacker, and I am a rising senior at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in Chicago, IL. Last year, I founded the Adaptive Athlete Apparel Project (AAAP), an initiative that provides professional-grade apparel to wheelchair basketball teams. When volunteering with the Chicago Hornets wheelchair basketball team, I noticed a glaring discrepancy in how adaptive athletes were equipped compared to traditional programs. I’ve been playing basketball my whole life, and gear day has always been just as exciting for me as playing the game itself. In wheelchair basketball, though, where equipment tends to be the top priority, quality apparel is almost always overlooked. I created AAAP to fill this gap.
